5% of sales funds clean water access to people in need

Project #04 in Batangas (San Andres & San Agapito), Phillippines

We are very humbled to share that our latest Clean Water Project in the Philippines was a huge success!

Isla Verde is a fishing community off the coast of Batangas Province in southern Luzon. The island was severely hit during last October's Typhoon Quinta, where 130-140 km/h winds destroyed homes and fishing boats. Hose pipes bringing water to communal taps were also damaged. The community now primarily relies on making multiple lengthy trips to hand pumps for their daily (unfiltered) water needs.

Project PARGO was able to provide clean water access to two villages, Barangay San Andres and Barangay San Agapito, where over 2,600 individuals will benefit from a reliable safe water source for many years to come.

Composed of six barangays (villages)

The Waves for Water team, travelled to Isla Verde via local fishing boats, to implement the clean water filtration systems

Firstly we educate the community to better understand the link between safe water, hygiene, and health.

Next, the community all get together to assemble the water filtration systems, this way, one person is assigned to care and maintain their system which is shared among 25 people or more.

From the bottom of our hearts & the 6 villages in Isla Verde who received clean water, We THANK YOU so much for choosing to make a difference.
Every PARGO counts.
